The Montana Tennis Academy, established in 1982, is perhaps Miami's oldest and most respected tennis training center, having developed more world-class and national and state- ranked players during the last 28 years than any other South Florida tennis institution.
The Montana Tennis Academy, established in 1989, has helped develop a good share of the local junior talent pool, helping many of their students attain a tennis scholarship in dozens of top U.S. universities; further, it enjoys the reputation of having the premier and largest Ladies League Program in South Florida, with over one-hundred and thirty ladies participating.
This past year John and Francisco fused their respective academies to form Montana-Tennis Academy - and it now seamlessly operates in four first-rate South Florida tennis facilities.

Francisco Montana III, has 11 years of ATP Tour experience, and an ATP top 5 ranking (doubles); he won the 1997 Men's Doubles title at the Monte Carlo Open; for five years he worked with the USTA in charge of U.S.'s Men's Professional players; he was former Coach to Robbie Ginepri (ATP Top 15), Taylor Dent (top 20), among others. He has joined with John and Francisco Sr. - and now directs the NEW High Performance Program for Home-Schooled juniors and aspiring junior players from other parts of the U.S., Europe and Latin America.
Francisco Montana Sr., recognized as one of the nation's most effective teaching pros, few teaching professionals world-wide have Francisco's credentials, as player, respected coach, club owner and parent of two accomplished players. As a Parent/ Coach who has traveled both to the small local tournaments and to the premier events in the U.S., Europe and Latin America, few people have better understanding of all the vital ingredients young players require to succeed competitively or recreationally.
In summary: it is a given that quality programs entail superior coaching, first-rate facilities and the ability to make learning interesting and fun. We believe that when your child learns tennis, this is what the game can teach: resourcefulness, initiative, creativity, self-esteem, self-confidence, discipline and courtesy. These are the very things that should be taught in academia but seldom are. These are some of the attributes we try to instill. Perhaps that helps explain why our players remain with us for years and years.
